Where I Began
In 2016, I created the Pacific Electric mural at the Stanton Central Park community center. My involvement in Stanton has also helped launch the art show, community service day, and art box mural program, enhancing public spaces and fostering community engagement. Additionally, my family created the switch used for the annual tree lighting ceremony.
With support from local and county officials, I currently serve on two commissions, providing advice to local leadership, and have previous experience on various committees.
During my tenure as a Community Services Commissioner, the Community Services Department has achieved significant milestones. While many initiatives were department-led, my role as commissioner has included providing oversight, setting objectives, guiding implementation, and actively involving citizen input. I’m grateful to my fellow commissioners for nominating me as chair for five consecutive terms from 2019 to 2024, through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
